Gorillas are mighty ape-like beasts of the humid jungles. In Azeroth their domain is Stranglethorn Vale and the primeval Un'Goro crater, where they belong to the wild beasts bestiary as one of the most recognizable families.
The gorilla is the best hunter pet against a group of enemies: its Thunderstomp hits everyone nearby and helps hold several targets at once.
What gorillas are
Gorillas are large primates with thick dark fur and incredible physical strength. They stay in family bands led by a dominant male and aggressively defend their turf, pummeling intruders with their fists.
Azeroth's most famous gorilla is King Mukla, a rare elite leader on an island off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale. He cannot be tamed, but claiming a trophy from him is the goal of many adventurers.
Where gorillas live
Gorillas dwell only in warm tropical zones and are noticeably rarer than boars or wolves.

The gorilla as a hunter pet
The gorilla is a medium-endurance pet with the unique Thunderstomp ability: it deals area damage, striking every enemy around it. That makes it invaluable when farming packs and swarms of mobs where holding several targets matters.
In a one-on-one fight the gorilla trails the cat in raw damage, but its value is group control. Farming hunters often keep a gorilla as a second pet just for mass pulls. For leatherworkers gorillas yield high-level thick leather.
