Malorne
Vanilla WoW Classic 1.12 · x5 realm · wowx5.ruMalorne, called the White Stag, is one of the oldest Ancients of Azeroth, a spirit of the wild and of the hunt. A vast silver stag, consort of the moon goddess Elune and father of the forest demigod Cenarius, he embodied the primal might of Kalimdor long before the mortal races arose.
Spirit of the wild
Malorne was a spirit of the land itself — of forest, wind and the beast's trail. The night elves knew him as Apa'ro and revered him as one of the greatest Wild Gods. From the union of Malorne and the moon goddess Elune was born Cenarius, who inherited both the stag features of his father and the celestial wisdom of his mother.
Father of a demigod
Through his son, Malorne is forever bound to druidism: it was the line of the White Stag that gave Azeroth its forest patron. The antlers and hooves of Cenarius are a direct inheritance from his father, and love of the wild passed to every generation of night elf druids.
Death in the War of the Ancients
When the Burning Legion first invaded Azeroth during the War of the Ancients, the Wild Gods rose to defend the world. Malorne fought the demons to the last and fell in that great war, giving his life to save Kalimdor. His spirit returned to the land he so loved.
A trail among the stars
Night elf legends say the spirit of the White Stag did not vanish without a trace: his silhouette is seen in the stars and in the deer that run through Moonglade. Malorne remains an image of pure, untouched wilderness — the kind druids preserve in the Emerald Dream.
Malorne in Vanilla
You will not meet Malorne directly in WoW Classic — he fell long before the Vanilla era — but his legacy lives in every druid and in Cenarius himself. Understanding who the White Stag was, you see the roots of druidism and why the night elves so fiercely protect the nature of Kalimdor.
