Monster Omelet in WoW Classic: Where to Get the Recipe

◆What it is and what it does

The omelet is regular food: you have to sit down for it to work. Over 30 seconds you restore 1392 health, and if you eat for at least 10 seconds you become Well Fed: +12 Stamina and +12 Spirit for 15 minutes. How to get the recipe and cook the omelet

1. Raise Cooking to 225 — exactly what the recipe requires. The road to that point is covered in the cooking leveling guide.
2. Buy Recipe: Monster Omelet for 1 gold 20 silver (base price). The neutral seller is Himmik, the food and drink vendor in the Everlook inn in Winterspring.
3. The Alliance can buy the recipe from Malygen, the general goods vendor at Talonbranch Glade, and the Horde from Bale at Bloodvenom Post. Both settlements are in Felwood.
4. Gather the reagents: 1 Giant Egg and 2 Soothing Spices.
5. Cook at a campfire: each serving takes 3 seconds.

Giant Eggs drop best from Ironbeak owls in Felwood (around 45–48%), owls and owlbeasts in Winterspring and Fire Rocs and Searing Rocs in Tanaris. The spices are cheap and sold by most trade goods vendors in cities and towns.

◆Who needs the omelet

Stamina helps everyone, and Spirit is especially valued by healers and casters who regenerate mana out of combat. That makes the omelet universal food for dungeons and the open world at levels 40–60, as well as a fallback Well Fed option for raids when specialized dishes are not at hand. Tips

• Farm eggs where you level: at 48–56 you pass through Felwood and Winterspring anyway.
• Buy Soothing Spices with a margin, two per serving — running short of them is the most common reason a stack of eggs goes unused.
• You must eat the omelet seated for at least 10 seconds, otherwise Well Fed will not appear.
