Lord of the waters

In young Azeroth, Neptulon ruled the element of water at the command of the Old Gods. When the Titans cast down his masters, the Tidehunter and the other Lords were banished to the Elemental Plane, into bottomless watery halls. There he rules his realm to this day.

The nature of the element

Neptulon is as changeable as the sea itself — calm one moment, furious the next. He owes loyalty neither to the Burning Legion nor to mortals; only mastery of the waters concerns him. Those who trespass in his domain he drowns without mercy, yet he despises the enemies of Azeroth no less.

War with the naga

Neptulon's sworn enemies are the naga, the serpentine people of the former queen Azshara. After the Sundering the naga seized vast underwater lands that had long belonged to the element of water. Between the Tidehunter's host and the naga legions an endless war for the deeps rages on.

Place in Vanilla lore

Neptulon never steps onto the battlefield in WoW Classic, but his presence is felt wherever water reigns. The water elementals along the coasts of Azshara, in Thousand Needles and along the rivers are shards of his eternal realm. Understanding the Tidehunter changes how you see every water spirit you meet.

Bond with the other Lords

Like Therazane, Al'Akir and Ragnaros, Neptulon is a primal force older than the Titan gods themselves. Together they once waged the Elemental Sundering against the Pantheon, and together they shared their banishment.

On the WowX5 server (x5)

On WowX5 x5 you will walk the flooded shores of Azshara and Thousand Needles, where Neptulon's water spirits still roam. The boosted rates give you time to study elemental lore and gather a raid for Ragnaros. Read about all the rulers in the Elemental Lords section.
