Aspect of Arcane Magic
The blue flight was the wisest in matters of the arcane: its dragons understood the flow of magic better than any mortal mage. Malygos was regarded as the counselor and keeper of the very art of spellcraft.
Tragedy of the War of the Ancients
It was the blue flight that first stood against Neltharion, suspecting his treachery. For this Deathwing turned the Dragon Soul on Malygos's kin, all but exterminating the blue dragons during the War of the Ancients.
A Millennium of Madness
Having lost almost his entire flight, Malygos sank into grief and madness and withdrew from the world for ten thousand years. The blue dragons became the rarest of all, their presence on Azeroth all but a legend.
The Blue Flight in Vanilla
In WoW Classic the blue flight's mark is Azuregos, a mighty blue dragon warden who guards magical secrets in ruined Azshara. As a world boss he draws together bands of the bold eager to test the might of the Spellweaver's servant.
Lonely Warden of the Arcane
For long ages the blue flight remained an almost silent guardian of magic, and Malygos himself a recluse broken by loss. His fate is a warning of the cost of abusing arcane power, and of the price paid even by immortal guardians.
