The main world buffs
- Rallying Cry of the Dragonslayer — from Onyxia/Nefarian heads.
- Warchief's Blessing — Horde exclusive.
- Songflower Serenade — in Felwood.
- Spirit of Zandalar — from Zul'Gurub.
- Dire Maul tribute buffs — from Dire Maul.
- Sayge's Dark Fortune — from the Darkmoon Faire.
Collecting the full set
1. Plan a route: Felwood (Songflower) → Dire Maul (Tribute) → capital (Rallying Cry/Warchief's) → Yojamba (Spirit of Zandalar). 2. Grab short buffs (Warchief's, Songflower) later on the route. 3. Move carefully — any death wipes what you collected. 4. Enter the raid with the full set and maximum value from consumables.
Full practical checklist in the world buffs guide. Compare their power with food buffs and resistance gear.

FAQ
Why do world buffs drop on death?
By Vanilla design: world buffs (unlike normal buffs) are removed when your character dies. That's why they are grabbed right before a raid and players avoid dying in transit or on trash.
Can world buffs be dispelled?
Yes. Many effects can be dispelled by magic removal (e.g. enemy Spellsteal/Purge in PvP) or lost to your own mistake. In PvE the main risk is death.
How do I avoid losing buffs before the boss?
Move carefully, don't pull extra trash, top up health early and don't jump into lava. On realms with a buff-freeze item you can 'bank' them, but pure 1.12 has no such option — just don't die.
