How to Reach Theramore Isle in WoW 1.12.1
How to get to Theramore is a question for everyone leveling in Dustwallow Marsh, looking for a trainer or heading to Onyxia's Lair. Theramore Isle is an Alliance fortress and the seat of Lady Jaina Proudmoore on an island off the eastern coast of Kalimdor. You can get there by sea, by air or on foot - here are all the options for the WoW x5 server (Vanilla 1.12.1).

◆Where Is Theramore
Theramore Isle lies off the eastern coast of Dustwallow Marsh in central Kalimdor. The zone borders the Barrens to the west, and the sea washes its eastern shore. Theramore has an inn and a bank, no auction house, but trainers for many classes and professions, a harbor and an Alliance flight path. It is the main Alliance stronghold in the whole southern half of Kalimdor.
How to Get to Theramore as Alliance
By sea from the Eastern Kingdoms
- From Ironforge or Stormwind travel to Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands - the route is in how to get to the Wetlands, and the harbor itself is covered in the Menethil Harbor guide.
- At the docks find the boat to Theramore - Menethil Harbor has two destinations, Auberdine and Theramore, so do not mix up the piers.
- The boat docks right at the Theramore harbor. Discover the flight path at the gryphon master straight away.
Night elf from Kalimdor
The easiest route is the boat from Auberdine to Menethil Harbor, then the second boat to Theramore. The overland option is longer: south through Ashenvale and the Barrens to Dustwallow Marsh.
On foot through the Barrens
If you are already in Ratchet, where the neutral flight master serves both factions, head south through the Barrens. The road into Dustwallow Marsh turns east at the Shady Rest Inn on the western edge of the zone and leads through the swamp to Theramore. How to Get to Theramore as Horde
For the Horde Theramore is a hostile city: the guards attack on sight, and Lady Jaina Proudmoore is a Horde raid target, not a quest giver.
- From Orgrimmar fly to the Crossroads.
- Travel south and east through the Barrens to the western edge of Dustwallow Marsh.
- Discover the Horde flight path at Brackenwall Village in the northwest of the zone - it is your camp in the marsh.
- Going further east to Theramore means fighting, and only in a group. The bridge and the gate are held by Alliance guards.

Where Is the Entrance to Theramore
The island is separated from the mainland by a narrow strip of water. In 1.12 there is one land entrance into the city - the north gate, reached by a bridge from the shore. The second, western entrance was only added in later expansions. The sea entrance is the harbor on the seaward side where the boat arrives.

?What is the fastest way to Theramore for the Alliance?
Take the boat from Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands - it sails straight to the Theramore docks. Once you discover the Theramore flight path you can fly there by gryphon from other Kalimdor flight points.
?Do mages have a teleport to Theramore?
No. In patch 1.12 Alliance mages only have teleports to Stormwind, Ironforge and Darnassus. To reach Theramore you have to sail, fly or walk.
?Can the Horde get into Theramore?
Theramore is an Alliance city and its guards attack Horde players. The Horde only goes there to fight, usually as a raid. The Horde base in Dustwallow Marsh is Brackenwall Village with its Horde flight path.
?How far is Theramore from Onyxia's Lair?
Onyxia's Lair is in the Wyrmbog in the south of Dustwallow Marsh. From Theramore you can ride to the entrance in a few minutes by heading south through the marsh.
