Dimensional Ripper - Everlook — Goblin Teleport Trinket

Section: Lore & bestiary 4 min read Vanilla 1.12.1 · x5 Updated 24.10.2026

Dimensional Ripper - Everlook is a goblin engineering trinket that once every 4 hours rips the dimensional walls asunder and transports its owner to Everlook in Winterspring. On the WoW x5 server it is a fast way to northern Kalimdor for farming and reputations, but only Goblin Engineers can use it — and it openly warns about technical problems.

What the device is and how it works

The ripper is an uncommon trinket that binds when used. You must equip it in a trinket slot and activate it; the cast takes 10 seconds, after which your character is transported to Everlook. Requirements are 260 Engineering and the Goblin Engineer specialization. How to choose the branch and what it offers is covered in our Goblin Engineering guide.

There are technical problems that sometimes occur, but that’s what Goblin Engineering is all about! (4 Hrs Cooldown)

Like the gnomish transporter, the ripper is not tied to the Hearthstone cooldown. More on getting around is in the help page on the Hearthstone and travel.

How to make the ripper

  1. Raise Engineering to 260 with our Engineering 1–300 leveling guide.
  2. From skill 200, take the Goblin Engineer specialization. Goblin masters are Nixx Sprocketspring in Gadgetzan and Vazario Linkgrease in Ratchet.
  3. Travel to Everlook and find the goblin Zap Farflinger (Unbalanced Engineer).
  4. Ask him in dialogue how to make his dangerous device — Zap will hand over the ripper schematic. Gnomish Engineers do not get this option.
  5. Gather the reagents and tools — the Blacksmith Hammer and the Arclight Spanner.

Usage: why fly to Everlook

Everlook is a neutral goblin town in Winterspring with flight masters for both factions. It is a base for leveling and farming in northern Kalimdor:

  • questing and farming in Winterspring without flying across the whole continent;
  • quick access to Timbermaw Hold and Moonglade;
  • a second teleport on top of your Hearthstone.

Pitfalls: technical problems

Goblins do not hide the risk: Zap explains that you are completely destroyed in a massive explosion and re-imploded at his machine, and that if survival is your first priority you could never be a real goblin engineer. According to Wowpedia, these side effects can occur:

  • being set on fire for 20 seconds;
  • turning into a kobold or an ogre;
  • being replaced by your evil twin for 2 hours;
  • appearing in mid-air above Everlook and falling.
Совет

Equip a Parachute Cloak or keep a slow fall effect ready before the jump, so a vertical miss does not end in death and a repair bill.

Goblins or gnomes: ripper versus transporter

Gnomish Engineers have their own counterpart — the Ultrasafe Transporter: Gadgetzan, which leads to Tanaris. Both have a 4-hour cooldown and require skill 260, but you can only get one device, matching your specialization. The ripper wins for the north (Winterspring, Felwood, Moonglade), the transporter for the south (Tanaris, Zul'Farrak, Un'Goro). All useful engineering devices are gathered in our engineering utility gadgets hub.

Tips

  • Keep the ripper in your bags and equip it only for the jump.
  • Do not use it in combat — the 10-second cast is easy to interrupt.
  • To resurrect allies, goblins can use Goblin Jumper Cables, and the Field Repair Bot 74A handles repairs in the field.
